MLB: Chicago White Sox 8, Chicago Cubs 7

CHICAGO, June 27 (UPI) -- Gordon Beckham's second hit Saturday, a ninth-inning RBI single, boosted the Chicago White Sox to an 8-7 inter-league win over the Chicago Cubs.

Scott Podsednik led the White Sox with four hits -- one a fifth-inning solo homer -- and three RBI. A.J. Pierzynski had two hits and two RBI.

Alexei Ramirez and Jermaine Dye had two hits and one RBI each, while Dewayne Wise had one hit and scored twice for the White Sox, who have won three of four.

The winner, the last of five pitchers, was closer Bob Jenks (2-2).

Alfonso Soriano, Ryan Theriot and Derek Lee all had two RBI for the Cubs. Andres Blanco had two hits and one RBI, while Theriot and Soriano also had two hits for the Cubs, who have split their last four contests.

The losing pitcher, in a rare relief appearance, was Sean Marshall (3-6).
