Federer, Soderling to meet again
LONDON, June 26 (UPI) -- Roger Federer and Robin Soderling set up a French Open finals rematch with victories Friday at the Wimbledon Championships in London.
Federer, seeded second at Wimbledon, defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3, 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-1 and Soderling, seeded 13th, took out Nicolas Almagro 7-6 (9-7), 6-4, 6-4 in Friday's third-round play.
The winners will meet Monday in the Round of 16. They last played June 7 in the French Open title match with Federer taking a straight-set victory and improving to 10-0 in his career against Soderling.
Federer faltered slightly in the third set Friday but was otherwise strong. He broke Kohlschreiber's serve seven times and finished the match with two breaks in the 29-minute third set.
Fourth-seeded Novak Djokovic was very consistent in a 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 win over Mardy Fish. Djokovic won 75 percent of the points on serve and was broken just once in getting to the fourth round. He is to play Duda Sela on Monday. Sela upset 15th-seeded Tommy Robredo 7-6 (10-8), 7-5, 2-6, 7-5.
Also Friday, No. 7-seeded Fernando Verdasco piled up 57 winners in a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) win over 32nd-seeded Albert Montanes, but ninth-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was ousted 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) by Ivo Karlovic. There was just the only service break in the match and Karlovic had 46 aces in advancing to a match against Verdasco.
No. 11-seeded Marin Cilic and 24th-seeded Tommy Haas played more than four hours and were tied -- 5-7, 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3), 6-6 -- when play was suspended because of darkness.
Hass won the first two sets and had two match points in the fourth set. Cilic came back and had two set points in the fifth before Haas pulled even again. They will resume Saturday. There is no fifth-set tiebreaker at Wimbledon; a player must win by two games.
S. Williams through to Wimbledon 4th round

Williams swept by Roberta Vinci 6-3, 6-4 in an efficient 67 minutes. Williams wasn't perfect -- Vinci had two service breaks -- but was clearly the better player. She dropped just five points on her first serve and had 34 winners, including 10 aces.
She will have a Round-of-16 meeting Monday against Daniela Hantuchova, who stopped Ai Sugiyama 6-4, 6-3 on Friday.
Fourth-seeded Elena Dementieva took a 6-1, 6-2 win over Regina Kulikova in less than an hour. She took 58 of the 86 points in the match, allowing Kulikova to take just 12 of 41 points on Kulikova's serve.
Her fourth-round opponent Monday is to be Elena Vesnina, who upset 14th-seeded Dominika Cibulkova 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 in a match that took more than three hours.

Goosen holds on to his BMW Open lead
MUNICH, Germany, June 26 (UPI) -- South African Retief Goosen holds a one-stroke lead through 36 holes at the European Tour's BMW International golf tournament in Munich.
He led by two after Thursday's opening 18 holes.
In Friday's second round, the two-time U.S. Open winner shot 4-under-par 68 and his 36-hole total, 12-under 132, leads Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen (65), who birdied two of his last four holes.
"The greens, especially the first nine, the greens were excellent to putt on," Goosen said about his round. "I didn't really give myself that many chances (but) I'm happy where I am. I'm sure it will be close to leading on the end of the day and see what happens."
England's Nick Dougherty (65) and Scotland's David Drysdale (64) are tied for third at 10-under 134.
Among those failing to make the 3-under 141 cut were Scotland's Alastair Forsyth (142), Ireland's Paul McGinley (142), America's John Daly (144) and Germany's Martin Kaymer (147), the defending champion.
Report: Receiver sues Cleveland Browns
CLEVELAND, June 26 (UPI) -- Former Cleveland wide receiver Joe Jurevicius is suing the Browns for a staph infection that might have ended his NFL career, the Plain Dealer said.
Jurevicius, 34, filed a civil suit in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Friday, claiming team physicians failed to warn him that sterile techniques were not at all times used at the Browns training facility in Berea, Ohio.
The Cleveland Clinic also was cited because he underwent knee surgery at the facility in January 2008.
He did not play last season.
Jurevicius said he developed staph in his right knee after therapy devices passed among multiple individuals, including Cleveland players, were not properly maintained and/or cleaned, if at all.
"I wanted to play out my career for my hometown team," he said in a statement to the newspaper through his attorney, Shannon Polk. "This problem …touches every player who trusts what they are told about the care they are being offered."
The 10-year veteran was released by the Browns in March.
Tony Stewart crashes at N.H. qualifying
LOUDON, N.H., June 26 (UPI) -- Tony Stewart was involved in a crash Friday during a practice run for the Sprint Cup Lenox Industrial Tools 301, the Charlotte Observer said.
The Observer report said the Sprint Cup points leader, last Sunday's runner-up at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 in Sonoma, Calif., was not injured when he crashed, badly damaging his No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet, and will have to use a backup car Sunday.
"I think we're in a situation now where we can take a couple of extra chances if we feel like we might be able to get another win and pick up those 10 bonus points," he said last Sunday after starting in the rear for the second time this season because of a crash in qualifying.
The other time was on June 7 before the Pocono 500 at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa.
