

NEW YORK, June 25 (UPI) -- The New York Knicks sent veteran swingman Quentin Richardson and cash to the Memphis Grizzlies Thursday in exchange for forward Darko Milicic.
Richardson, 29, averaged 10.2 points and 4.4 rebounds over 72 contests last season. He played four seasons for the Knicks after starting his career with a four-year stint with the Los Angeles Clippers and one with the Phoenix Suns. He has a career average of 11.5 points.
Milicic averaged 5.5 points for the Grizzlies over 61 contests last season, his sixth in the NBA.
The Knicks also acquired the draft rights to Florida State guard Toney Douglas, who was taken with the 29th pick in the first round Thursday by the Los Angeles Lakers. New York sent Los Angeles a second-round pick in next year's draft and cash considerations.
