WASHINGTON, June 24 (UPI) -- The Washington Wizards have dealt the fifth overall pick in Thursday's NBA Draft to the Minnesota Timberwolves for guard Randy Foye.

They also sent forward Darius Songalia and centers Oleksiy Pecherov and Etan Thomas to the Timberwolves and obtained sharp-shooting swingman Mike Miller.

The deal, the first made by David Kahn, the Wizards' new president of basketball operations, gives them four first-round picks in the draft -- No. 5, 6, 18 and 28.

Also, Arizona State guard James Harden, a long-range specialist and possible Minnesota selection, was scheduled for a private team workout.

Last season, Foye averaged 16.3 points and 4.3 assists in 70 games. Miller averaged a career-low 9.9 points and was the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year in the 2005-06 season. Songalia averaged 7.4 points and nearly three rebounds in 77 games.

Thomas, a heart transplant recipient in 2007, averaged three points in 26 games after a knee injury, and Pecherov averaged three points in 32 games.
