MIAMI, June 24 (UPI) -- Ricky Nolasco gave up two unearned runs and struck out seven over seven innings Wednesday, leading Florida to a 5-2 decision over Baltimore.
The Marlins won their fourth straight and their eighth in 11 games. They moved above the .500 mark for the first time since May 12.
Nolasco (4-6) won his second straight start after returning from a brief demotion to Class AAA.
Hanley Ramirez singled in two runs in the first for Florida and Cody Ross drove in two runs as well with a double in the fourth and a single in the eighth.
Jason Berken (1-4) took the loss, allowing three runs on four hits over five innings.
Dan Meyer worked a perfect ninth for the first save of his career. He was given the closer role when Matt Lindstrom went on the 15-day disabled list with a right elbow sprain.
