MLB: Toronto 7, Cincinnati 5

TORONTO, June 23 (UPI) -- Brian Tallet pitched six shutout innings of three-hit ball and was supported by three home runs Tuesday in Toronto's 7-5 victory over Cincinnati.

Tallet (5-4) struck out seven and walked just one walk. He had pitched seven scoreless two-hit innings in his last appearance June 9, giving up one run and five hits against Washington.

Marco Scutaro, Scott Rolen and Rob Barajas each homered for Toronto, which has won five of its last seven games. Scutaro, Barajas and Adam Lind each had two RBI apiece in the inter-league victory.

Jay Bruce had a two-run double for the Reds, who have lost eight of their last 11 games. Micah Owings (4-8) gave up six runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings for his fifth loss in his last six starts.
