
MIAMI, June 23 (UPI) -- Jorge Cantu singled home Emilio Bonifacio in the 12th inning Tuesday to give the Florida Marlins a 7-6 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
Florida had led by five runs in the eighth inning before the Orioles' comeback forced extra innings.
Burke Badenhop (5-2) got the inter-league win with two scoreless innings of relief after Matt Lindstrom allowed three runs in the ninth. Florida starter Andrew Miller pitched seven innings of one-run ball, allowing just one hit and two walks.
Hanley Ramirez had a grand slam and Dan Uggla added a solo homer as the Marlins picked up their seventh win in their last 10 games.
Brian Bass (4-2) took the loss in one-plus innings of relief. Baltimore starter Koji Uehara allowed one run on seven hits in six innings.
Matt Wieters had a home run and two RBI for the Orioles.
