ANAHEIM, Calif., June 23 (UPI) -- Aaron Cook went seven strong innings and Colorado got homers from Brad Hawpe and Seth Smith Monday in an 11-1 inter-league win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Cook (7-3) limited the Angels to one run on three hits with two walks and four strikeouts.
Hawpe had two hits, including a three-run home run. Smith had two hits and drove in four runs with a solo homer, a two-run single and a sacrifice fly for the Rockies -- who have won six straight games and 17 of their last 18.
The Angels got their run on a Kendry Morales solo homer.
Starter Matt Palmer (6-1) was rocked for six runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings, with five walks and five strikeouts to take the loss for LA, which has lost three straight following a seven-game win streak.
Angels' pitchers threw six wild pitches in the game -- matching a team record set in 1991 and a major league record held by several teams.
