ATLANTA, June 23 (UPI) -- Rookie Tommy Hanson won his third straight start Tuesday in the Atlanta Braves' 4-0 inter-league victory over the New York Yankees.
Hanson (3-0) held New York to four hits with five walks in 5 1/3 innings. He has given up just two runs in 17 innings since allowing six earned runs in his major league-debut June 7.
Brian McCann had a home run and an RBI double among his three hits for Atlanta, which has won four of six. Garret Anderson added a two-run double.
New York's Chien-Ming Wang (0-6) gave up three runs on six hits through five innings. The Yankees had only four hits while losing for the fifth time in their last six games. Three-time American League MVP Alex Rodriguez was 0-for 4 and has had just one hit in his last 22 at-bats.
