SEATTLE, June 21 (UPI) -- Yuniesky Betancourt drove in two runs and scored two Saturday in the Seattle Mariners' 7-3 inter-league win over Arizona.
Betancourt had two hits, including a two-run double in the Mariners' three-run eighth inning, when he also scored a run. Wladimir Balentien had two hits, including a solo homer, and Mike Sweeney and Franklin Gutierrez each had an RBI for Seattle, which has won two straight games and four of its last five.
Ichiro Suzuki had three hits for the Mariners.
Starter Jason Vargas (3-2) pitched seven innings, allowing two runs on three hits with four strikeouts. After allowing a first-inning run, Vargas retired 17 straight Diamondbacks before surrendering a leadoff homer to Justin Upton in the seventh inning.
David Aardsma got his 14th save.
Upton finished with three of Arizona's four hits and two RBI.
Billy Buckner (2-4) went six-plus innings, allowing four runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts and two walks for the Diamondbacks, who lost for the fifth time in their last seven games.
