PHILADELPHIA, June 21 (UPI) -- Brian Roberts drove in the winning run in the eighth inning Sunday, leading Baltimore to a 2-1 inter-league win at Philadelphia to finish a three-game sweep.
It was the second straight game Roberts produced the game-winner. Saturday, his two-run homer in the ninth lifted Baltimore to a 6-5 victory.
Sunday, both he and Adam Jones had two hits and one RBI.
Ty Wigginton also had two hits for the Orioles, who have won five straight and seven of eight.
Winner Jeremy Guthrie (5-7) yielded a run and just three hits in seven innings with two walks and four strikeouts. Closer George Sherrill recorded his 15th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Philadelphia's lone run was courtesy of a second-inning homer by Greg Dobbs. He played first base when slugger Ryan Howard was hospitalized a second straight day with flu-like symptoms.
Losing pitcher Cole Hamels (4-3) gave up two earned runs and nine hits in eight innings with no walks and 10 strikeouts.
