'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, June 18 (UPI) -- World No. 1 Dinara Safina and Tamerine Tanasugarn were come-from-behind winners Thursday in the quarterfinals of the $220,000 Ordina Open in the Netherlands.

Tanasugarn defeated Safina for last year's Ordina but both dripped their opening sets in quarterfinal play before making the semifinals, where they will have a rematch.

Safina fell 6-1 in the first set before winning the next two 6-4, 6-3 in beating No. 6-seeded Daniela Hantuchova. Safina won just 15 points in the first set.

Tanasugarn rallied for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 upset of third-seeded Flavia Pennetta. She had to overcome 14 break-point situations but had her serve broken just once in the second and third sets after three breaks in the first.

The other matches Thursday were much more clear cut with Yanina Wickmayer taking out Kristina Barrois 6-1, 6-1 and Francesca Schiavone beating Olga Govortsova 6-1, 6-3 behind six service breaks.

Wickmayer and Schiavone will play in the other semifinal Friday.
