MLB: LA Angels 4, San Francisco 3

SAN FRANCISCO, June 17 (UPI) -- Juan Rivera's eighth-inning ground out and second RBI Wednesday helped the LA Angels capture a 4-3 inter-league win over San Francisco and a three-game sweep.

Rivera's RBI grounder with two outs capped a three-run rally.

Chone Figgins had two of the eight hits and one RBI.

Erick Aybar added an RBI infield single in the eighth for the Angels, who have six in a row.

The winner was reliever Kevin Jepsen (1-2) after starter Matt Palmer gave up three earned runs and six hits in 6 1/3 innings with two walks and five strikeouts.

Closer Brian Fuentes earned his 18th save.

One of two hits for San Francisco's Travis Ishikawa was a seventh-inning solo homer.

Andres Torres and Randy Winn also had one RBI, while Matt Downs added two hits for the Giants, have split their last six contests.

Losing pitcher Tim Lincecum (6-2) surrendered four runs and eight hits in eight innings with no walks and nine strikeouts.
