'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, June 16 (UPI) -- Top seeds Fernando Verdasco and Tommy Robredo each lost straight-set decisions Tuesday in the Ordina Open tennis tournament in the Netherlands.

Verdasco, seeded No. 1, was knocked off 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) by Benjamin Becker in a second-round match. The match was tight -- there was just one service break -- but Verdasco hurt himself with seven double faults.

Robredo, the No. 2 seed, dropped a first-round match to Marcos Baghdatis 7-5, 6-2. Robredo's serve was broken four times and he won a mere 41 percent of the points in the match.

Also upset was fifth-seeded Igor Kunitsyn, who fell 6-4, 6-3 to Dudi Sela, and No. 6-seeded Marc Gicquel, who was bounced 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 by Ivan Navarro. Those were second-round matches.

Also Tuesday, Michael Llodra advanced out of the second round with a 6-2, 6-3 romp over Kristof Vliegen and Thiemo De Bakker defeated Bjorn Phau 7-6 (7-3), 2-6, 6-3 in a first-round match.

The grass-court Ordina Open serves as a final tune up ahead of the Wimbledon Championships, which begin Monday.
