COL BB: Virginia 7, Cal-Fullerton 5

OMAHA, June 15 (UPI) -- Keith Werman had two RBI and scored two runs Monday to lead Virginia to a 7-5 win over Cal State-Fullerton at the College World Series in Omaha.

Franco Valdes doubled and scored for Virginia, which will play the loser of Monday night's Arkansas/LSU game Wednesday.

Andrew Carraway pitched 2 2/3 relief innings for the win.

Dustin Garneau hit a two-run homer and Gary Brown and Jared Clark each had three hits and an RBI for the Titans, who were eliminated from the tournament despite being the second-ranked team in the nation.

Daniel Renken suffered the loss after allowing six runs on six hits over 5 2/3 innings.
