BIRMINGHAM, England, June 14 (UPI) -- Slovakia's Magdalena Rybarikova beat China's Na Li in straight sets Sunday to win the Aegon Classic title in Birmingham, England.
The scores were 6-0, 7-6 (7-2).
The 20-year-old Rybarikova captured her first-ever WTA Tour singles event by taking a grueling second-set tiebreaker.
"It's the best feeling in my career," said Rybarikova, who broke serve three times while capturing the first set. "It's unbelievable. It's like a dream. I was very nervous in the tie-break, but I kept moving well, and I think she was more nervous than me."
With her victory, Rybarikova took home $37,000.
The fourth-seeded Na was trying for her third career WTA title and first this season. She also was the runner-up in Monterrey in March, falling to Marion Bartoli of France in the final.
"I was missing a lot today," Na said.
She advanced to the final by beating former world No. 1 Maria Sharapova in Saturday's semifinals.
