Tommie Harris' wife dies

SEATTLE, June 14 (UPI) -- Goals by Freddie Ljungberg and Fredy Montero Friday gave the Seattle Sounders FC a 2-1 MLS victory over San Jose, ending a six-game winless streak for Seattle.
Ljungberg opened the scoring, capitalizing on a Quakes' turnover in the 42nd minute. Montero scored a little more than 15 minutes later off a feed from Patrick Ianni.
San Jose'sa Darren Huckerby wrapped up the scoring with his first goal of the season.
The Sounders (5-3-5) are third in the Western Conference. San Jose (2-8-3) is in last place in the West.
