
PITTSBURGH, June 14 (UPI) -- Robinzon Diaz drove in three runs Sunday, boosting the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 6-3 inter-league win over the Detroit Tigers.
Diaz drove in a run with a first-inning sacrifice fly and then hit a two-run single in the fourth.
Freddy Sanchez had two hits and one RBI, Delwyn Young had three hits and Andrew McCutchen had two hits for the Pirates, who won twice in the three-game series on the weekend that the Penguins beat the Red Wings in seven games to win the NHL's coveted Stanley Cup.
The winner was starter Ross Ohlendorf (6-5), who went six innings, giving up one run on two hits with two strikeouts and two walks.
Closer Matt Capps earned his 16th save.
Don Kelly led Detroit with two hits and two RBI.
A run scored on Curtis Granderson's fourth-inning double-play groundout for the Tigers, who had only five hits and have lost three of five.
Losing pitcher Dontrelle Willis (1-4) gave up six hits, six runs and eight walks in 3 2/3 innings.
