CLEVELAND, June 14 (UPI) -- Yadier Molina broke up Cliff Lee's no-hitter with a double in the eighth inning Sunday, but Lee and the Cleveland Indians continued on to beat St. Louis 3-0.

Lee (4-6) struck out six, walked two and needed just 93 pitches to dispatch the Cardinals, who scratched out three hits in a game took a mere one hour, 58 minutes to complete.

Lee retired 20 St. Louis batters in a row at one point, but Molina led off the eighth with a double to the right field corner. Molina made it to third base but was stranded at the end of the inning.

Mark DeRosa had a two-run homer in the first inning for the Indians and Kelly Shoppach added a solo shot in the fifth.

Chris Carpenter (4-1) lost for the first time this season, giving up three runs on five hits with three strikeouts over seven innings.
