CHICAGO, June 14 (UPI) -- Ryan Theriot had two RBI Sunday, including one on a ninth-inning, tie-breaking single that lifted the Chicago Cubs to a 3-2 win over the Minnesota Twins.
Theriot, who drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the second, singled Derrek Lee in from third off Jesse Crain (2-3) as Chicago salvaged the final game of the inter-league set at Wrigley Field.
Carlos Marmol (2-1) went 1 1/3 scoreless innings for the win in relief of Ted Lily. Lily gave up two runs on nine hits in 7 2/3 innings.
Minnesota's Joe Mauer had three hits and raised his batting average to .414 while Carlos Gomez homered for the Twins.
Nick Punto got the Twins on the board in the second inning with a bunt single that scored Gomez from third.
The Cubs tied the score 1-1 in their half of the second on Theriot's sacrifice fly and then went ahead in the fourth on consecutive doubles by Milton Bradley and Geovany Soto. Soto had three hits in the game.
Gomez tied the score 2-2 in the sixth with his solo home run.
