Texas' James will return for senior year

AUSTIN, Texas, June 13 (UPI) -- Texas guard/forward Damion James said Saturday he will withdraw his name from this month's NBA Draft and return for his senior year.

"This process has been a great learning experience," James said in a statement. "I've been able to get a much better understanding of how the NBA works and what they are looking for from me. That will definitely help when I go through this process again next year."

James led the Longhorns in rebounding (9.2 per game) and ranked second in scoring (15.4 points per game) this past season, when Texas was 23-12 and had an NCAA Tournament win against Minnesota before losing to Duke in the second round.
