MLB: Texas 6, Los Angeles Dodgers 0

ARLINGTON, Texas, June 13 (UPI) -- Taylor Teagarden had two doubles and two RBI and scored a run Friday when the Texas Rangers notched a 6-0 inter-league win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Marlon Byrd had a triple and an RBI, while Michael Young and Hank Blalock each drove in a run for the Rangers, who won their second straight game.

Starter Vicente Padilla (5-3) went five innings, giving up four hits with two strikeouts and three walks to get the win.

Juan Pierre and Casey Blake had two hits apiece for the Dodgers, who have lost two straight games.

LA starter Hiroki Kuroda (1-2) allowed five runs on eight hits with six strikeouts and no walks over 5 1/3 innings.

Teagarden led off the bottom of the third with a double and scored after James Loney's error on a single by Omar Vizquel. Young drove in Vizquel with a single to make it 2-0 after three innings.
