CHICAGO, June 13 (UPI) -- Anthony Swarzak and two relievers combined on a five-hit shutout Saturday when Minnesota recorded a 2-0 inter-league win over the Chicago Cubs.
Minnesota scored on Jason Kubel's second-inning solo homer and Joe Mauer's RBI single in the top of the third.
Three others had one hit for the Twins, who have won the first two contests in the three-game series at Chicago's Wrigley Field.
Swarzak (2-2) surrendered the four hits in seven innings with a walk and six strikeouts.
Matt Guerrier pitched a perfect eighth, while closer Joe Nathan earned his 15th save despite giving up a hit in the bottom of the ninth.
Derek Lee had two of the five hits for the Cubs, who have lost four in a row.
Losing pitcher Rich Harden (4-3), making his first start after being sidelined with a back strain, yielded two runs and five hits in six innings with two walks and nine strikeouts.
