MLB: Kansas City 7, Cincinnati 4

KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 13 (UPI) -- Willie Bloomquist had three hits and three RBI Saturday, boosting the Kansas City Royals to a 7-4 inter-league win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Bloomquist hit a two-run single in the bottom of the second inning and an RBI single in the sixth.

Billy Butler also had three hits with two RBI, Mark Teahen hit a third-inning solo homer, David DeJesus had one RBI and Alberto Callaspo had a run and two hits for the Royals, who have won three of four.

Winner Kyle Davies (3-6) surrendered three runs, two hits and five walks in five innings.

Closer Joakim Soria earned his eighth save despite giving up a solo homer to Ramon Hernandez in the ninth.

Cincinnati's Ryan Hannigan had two hits and two RBI. Alex Gonzalez drove in a run for the Reds, who have lost three in a row.

Losing pitcher Bronson Arroyo (7-5) surrendered six earned runs and 11 hits in five innings.
