MEMPHIS, June 13 (UPI) -- Brian Gay shot a 4-under 66 Saturday to hang on to a one-stroke lead after three rounds at the St. Jude Classic in Memphis.

Gay held a three-stroke lead before his final drive Saturday hit a fairway bunker at the 18th. He closed with a bogey to stand at 14-under 196 through 54 holes. Playing partner Bryce Molder made a 13-foot birdie putt at 18 to shoot a 5-under 65 and finish at 13-under 197.

Australia's Robert Allenby, after finishing his second round in the morning with a 64, carded a 68 in the third round to finish at 11-under 199. Paul Goydos had a 64 and is another stroke further back in fourth place at 200.

Almost half of the field completed their second round Saturday morning after strong storms halted play Friday afternoon.

Heath Slocum (67), Vaughn Taylor (69) and 2007 champion Woody Austin (68) share fifth place at 201.
