Closer Chad Qualls, the last of three pitchers, earned his 13th save despite giving up a run on a ninth-inning wild pitch.

Justin Upton drove in both runs with a third-inning homer and a seventh-inning single for the Diamondbacks, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Arizona's Stephen Drew went 0-for-3 and saw his 14-game hitting streak stopped.

San Francisco's Jose Uribe scored on the two-out wild pitch by Qualls. Aaron Rowand had two of the four hits for the Giants, who have split their last four contests.
