LONDON, June 10 (UPI) -- U.K. player Andy Murray breezed to a straight-set win Wednesday in second-round action of the $1 million Aegon Championships tournament in London.
Murray, seeded No. 1, handled Andres Seppi 6-1, 6-4 in 59 minutes. Murray piled up five service breaks and lost just 12 points on his own serve in the rout at the Queen's Club.
He advanced to a third-round match against 16th-seeded Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, who was a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 winner Wednesday over Gilles Muller.
Four-time champion Lleyton Hewitt, seeded 15th this week, rallied for a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 win over Frederico Gil and earned a third-round shot at second-seeded Andy Roddick, who has also won the grass-court event four times.
Third-seeded Gilles Simon needed two tiebreakers to defeat Gregor Dmitrov 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-5) but fifth-seeded Marin Cilic dropped two tiebreakers in a 7-6 (7-1), 7-6 (7-4) loss to Nicolas Mahut.
Also Wednesday, ninth-seeded Ivo Karlovic topped Julien Benneteau 7-6 (9-7), 6-7 (4-7), 6-2; Juan Carlos Ferrero beat 11th-seeded Paul-Henri Mathieu 6-4, 6-4; and 14th-seeded Mikhail Youzhny defeated Marcos Baghdatis 6-4, 7-6 (7-3).
Xavier Malisse also won a pair of tiebreakers for a 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (10-8) win over Rik De Voest while Steve Darcis stopped Alberto Martin 6-2, 6-4.
