Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft
VILLANOVA, Pa., June 9 (UPI) -- Villanova guard Scottie Reynolds removed his name from NBA draft consideration Tuesday and will return to play his senior season for the Wildcats.
Reynolds declared for the draft in April and participated in NBA workouts but didn't hire an agent, which kept his NCAA eligibility intact.
"The best decision for me is to return to Villanova for my senior year," Reynolds said. "I'd like to thank everyone who put their time into helping me get better during these NBA workouts. I especially want to thank my teammates and coaches here for all of their support. I felt like I learned a great deal from this process.
"I'm blessed to be in the situation I am in. I'm happy to be back at Villanova."
Reynolds averaged 15.2 points a game last season for Villanova. He helped put the Wildcats into this year's Final Four with a game-winning shot versus Big East Conference rival Pittsburgh. He has scored 1,620 points in his career, which is 15th on the school's all-time points list.
