
CLEVELAND, June 9 (UPI) -- Mark DeRosa hit his fifth career grand slam in the seventh inning Tuesday, propelling the Cleveland Indians to an 8-4 win over Kansas City.
DeRosa was 2-for-4 and scored two runs. Shin-Soo Choo had an RBI and two runs for Cleveland, which has won four of its last six games.
Cleveland starter Cliff Lee gave up four runs on 11 hits in six innings. Rafael Perez (1-1) got the win after pitching only two-thirds of an inning.
Miguel Olivo hit a solo homer and David DeJesus had an RBI triple for the Royals, who have lost 10 of their last 11 games. Willie Bloomquist had three hits, an RBI and run scored for KC.
Brian Bannister allowed four runs -- one earned -- on four hits and three walks in five innings. Juan Cruz (3-2) was charged with the loss.
