MLS: San Jose 2, FC Dallas 2

FRISCO, Texas, June 7 (UPI) -- The San Jose Earthquakes and FC Dallas battled Sunday to a Major League Soccer 2-2 tie.

Dallas scored the game's first goal just before the half-hour mark on David Ferreira's first goal of the season.

San Jose tied the score at the hour mark when Pablo Ricchetti headed a Shea Salinas free kick into his own net for an own goal.

San Jose went ahead 2-1 eight minutes from time when Arturo Alvarez controlled the ball on the left side of the area and fired the ball over Hoops goalkeeper Ray Burse.

Dallas retied the score when Kenny Cooper got his sixth goal of the season in the 87th minute.
