MLS: New England 4, New York 0

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., June 7 (UPI) -- Taylor Twellman scored twice Sunday to lead the New England Revolution to a 4-0 Major League Soccer victory over the New York Red Bulls.

New England (4-3-4), which scored just 10 goals in 10 previous games, got single goals from Jay Heaps and Steve Ralston.

Twellman's first goal was his 100th career MLS goal.

New York (2-9-3) is mired in last place in the Eastern Conference with nine points -- 12 points behind the first-place Chicago Fire. The Revolution, with 16 points, is tied for third with Toronto, Kansas City and Columbus.
