Tommie Harris' wife dies

BOSTON, June 7 (UPI) -- Nelson Cruz was 3-of-4 with three runs and one RBI Sunday boosting the Texas Rangers to a 6-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox.
Vincente Padilla (4-3) yielded three runs -- two earned -- on four hits with four strikeouts and four walks to earn the win.
Michael Young had a home run and scored two runs for the Rangers. David Murphy was 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored, and Omar Vizquel had two hits and an RBI or Texas.
Boston pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka (1-4) allowed five runs on 10 hits but had eight strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. Mark Kotsay, who came off the disabled list Wednesday, had his first two hits of the season, including a home run, for the Red Sox.
