MLB: N.Y. Yankees 4, Tampa Bay 3

NEW YORK, June 7 (UPI) -- Robinson Cano drew a bases-loaded walk in a three-run eighth Sunday that helped the New York Yankees beat Tampa Bay 4-3.

Jorge Posada and Hideki Matsui also had RBIs in the inning.

Nick Swisher had an earlier homer for the Yankees. Johnny Damon, Mark Teixeira and Alex Rodriguez all scored for New York.

Alfredo Aceves (4-1) got the win after allowing just one hit and striking out four in two innings of relief. Mariano Rivera pitched a perfect ninth to get his 13th save.

Gabe Gross had a two-run single and B.J. Upton an RBI double for the Rays.

Grant Balfour (2-1) was the loser after giving up three runs on two hits while retiring only one batter in the eighth inning.
