ELMONT, N.Y., June 3 (UPI) -- Jockey Calvin Borel will go for a historic first while riding Mine That Bird against nine other horses at the 141st Belmont Stakes in New York.

Mine That Bird was made a 2-1 favorite Wednesday ahead of Saturday's Belmont Stakes. Charitable Man was second favorite at 3-1 with Dunkirk established at 4-1.

If the favorite comes in, Borel will win the Triple Crown. He rode 50-1 long shot Mine That Bird to a dramatic win in the Kentucky Derby and was up for Rachel Alexandra for a victory at the Preakness Stakes. No jockey has won all three races of the Triple Crown in the same year on more than one horse.

Mine The Bird drew post position No. 7 and will be next to Charitable Man, which will start from the No. 6 slot. Dunkirk starts from post position No. 2.

Cotton Candy (10-1) is in position No. 1 while Mr. Hot Stuff (15-1) starts from the third position, Summer Bird (12-1) is at No. 4 and Luv Gov (20-1) is No. 5. Flying Private (12-1) goes from No. 8 next to Miner's Escape (15-1) and Brave Victory (15-1) starts on the outside.

The 1 1/2-mile Belmont has a $1 million purse.
