ATLANTA, June 3 (UPI) -- Pinch-hitter Micah Hoffpauir singled in Derrek Lee from third with one out in the 11th inning Wednesday, giving the Chicago Cubs a 3-2 win over Atlanta.

The Braves rallied from a two-run deficit to tie the game in the seventh, but the Cubs finally broke through against Jeff Bennett and Eric O'Flaherty in the 11th.

Lee opened the inning by drawing a walk off Bennett (2-3) and moved to second on Mike Fontenot's fly ball to left that was caught in foul territory.

Reed Johnson then singled, with Lee holding at third. O'Flaherty relieved Bennett and faced Hoffpauir, who batted for Angel Guzman. Hoffpauir singled to left on a 2-2 pitch, bringing home Lee with the winning run.

Guzman (2-0) got the win with two innings of one-hit relief and Kevin Gregg earned his ninth save by retiring the side in order in the bottom of the 11th.

Fontenot put Chicago in front with a two-run double in the fourth. Brian McCann drove in an Atlanta run with a single in the sixth and Chipper Jones had an RBI double in the seventh.

Atlanta had won its previous two games and the Cubs had dropped two in a row.
