ATLANTA, June 3 (UPI) -- It appears Chicago Cubs ace pitcher Carlos Zambrano is in hot water again, this time for missing the team flight to Atlanta.
Cubs Manager Lou Piniella summoned the player to his office before Tuesday's Chicago-Atlanta game for a private meeting that lasted just minutes, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Piniella didn't say what the meeting was about and assistant general manager Randy Bush had no comment.
The Tribune says Zambrano is expected to be fined for missing the flight and could also be asked to apologize to his teammates.
He is current serving a six-game suspension for "violent and inappropriate" conduct after a close play at the plate against Pittsburgh.
"I know I did something that disrespected MLB, and I apologize," Zambrano told reporters after the blow-up.
