CNN suspends Martin for Super Bowl tweets

OKLAHOMA CITY, June 2 (UPI) -- Danielle Lawrie pitched a two-hit shutout and Ashley Charters and Jenn Salling both had two RBI and two runs scored Monday in Washington's 8-0 win over Florida.
The Huskies broke the game open with a four-run fourth inning and went on to take a 1-0 lead in the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City. The third-seeded Huskies (50-12) can win the title with a victory in Game 2 Tuesday against the top-seeded Gators (63-4).
Lawrie struck out 12 and walked three and Morgan Stuart drove in two runs for Washington.
Michelle Moultrie and Corrie Brooks got the only hits for Florida.
Gators' starter Stacey Nelson was rocked for five runs on six hits in five innings with five strikeouts and two walks.
