WASHINGTON, June 2 (UPI) -- Ryan Zimmerman hit a two-run double in a six-run eighth inning Tuesday, sparking Washington to a 10-6 victory over San Francisco.
Cristian Guzman had a go-ahead RBI single to cap four consecutive hits to start the big inning for Washington. Josh Bard and Anderson Hernandez each had three hits and an RBI for the Nationals, who ended a six-game losing streak.
Aaron Rowand, who led off the game with a home run, finished with three hits and two RBI for the Giants. Randy Winn also had three hits for San Francisco.
Washington's Craig Stammen, making his third career start, gave up five runs on seven hits in six innings. Giants starter Tim Lincecum was charged with four runs on eight hits with seven strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.
Ron Villone (3-0) pitched 1 2/3 innings to get the win and Bob Howry (0-3) was the loser.
