MLB: Baltimore 1, Seattle 0

SEATTLE, June 2 (UPI) -- Aubrey Huff drove in a run with a sixth-inning sacrifice fly and Orioles' pitchers held Seattle to two hits Monday in Baltimore's 1-0 win over the Mariners.

Starter Rich Hill (2-0) pitched seven shutout innings, striking out seven and allowing just the two hits. Jim Johnson retired the side in order in the eighth and George Sherrill pitched a perfect ninth to pick up his 11th save for the Orioles, who have won six of their last eight games.

Jarrod Washburn (3-4) was the tough-luck loser. He allowed one run on six hits in seven innings but still saw his winless streak extended to seven starts.

With one of his team's two hits, Ichiro Suzuki tied his franchise-record hitting streak at 25 games.

Adam Jones led off the sixth with a double and took third on a single by Nick Markakis. Jones scored on Huff's sacrifice fly to center.
