ATLANTA, June 2 (UPI) -- Chipper Jones's RBI single in the 12th inning Tuesday gave Atlanta a 6-5 comeback win over the Chicago Cubs after he busted up Randy Wells's no-hit bid earlier.
In the 12th, with Aaron Heilman (2-3) on the mound for the Cubs, Yunel Escobar led off with a single and stole second. Jones then hit a 3-2 pitch into left field to drive in Escobar.
Atlanta trailed 5-0 going into the eighth inning. Randy Wells had a no-hitter going for the Cubs until Jones hit a two-out single in the eighth. Jeff Francoeur tied the game in the ninth with a two-run homer and Garret Anderson had a solo home run for the Braves, who have won three of their last four games.
Atlanta starter Kenshin Kawakami was charged with four runs on seven hits in seven innings.
Derrek Lee had a solo home run, two RBI and two runs scored, and Alfonso Soriano had a solo homer for the Cubs.
