TORONTO, May 31 (UPI) -- Kevin Youkilis hit two solo homers Sunday to propel the Boston Red Sox to an 8-2 rout of the Toronto Blue Jays.
Boston homered four times with Dustin Pedroia launching a three-run fourth-inning blast and Jason Bay hitting a solo shot in the eighth.
Mike Lowell and J.D. Drew each knocked in a run for the Red Sox, who had lost four of their previous five contests.
Winner Jon Lester (4-5) yielded an earned run and just three hits and three walks in six innings before relievers Justin Masterson and Ramon Ramirez mopped up.
In a dominant effort, Lester struck out 12.
Toronto scored on a first-inning sacrifice fly by Vernon Wells and an eighth-inning solo homer by Alex Rios.
Marco Scutaro had two of the five hits for the Blue Jays, who had won two straight following a nine-game losing streak.
The losing pitcher was starter Ricky Romero (2-2).
