
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., May 30 (UPI) -- Conor Casey scored two goals Saturday, leading the Colorado Rapids to a 3-2 Major League Soccer win over the New York Red Bulls.
Casey's goals, both on headers, came in the 25th and 48th minutes. Going into Saturday's games, Casey had scored an MLS-high eight goals this season.
He stuck the first header between two New York defenders and the second between two center backs following an assist by Omar Cummings.
Colorado's Mehdi Ballouchy scored the decisive goal in the 60th minute.
New York's goals were scored by Juan Pablo Angel in the 44th minute on a penalty kick and Danleigh Borman in the 73rd.
The victory helped the Rapids improve to 4-2-4, while the Red Bulls sank to 2-7-3.
Colorado extended its unbeaten streak to five consecutive games. New York suffered its second straight loss as it prepares to play seven of its next nine games on the road.
