MLB: Texas 14, Oakland 1

ARLINGTON, Texas, May 30 (UPI) -- Ian Kinsler had four RBI and scored twice Saturday to help the Texas Rangers overpower the Oakland Athletics, 14-1.

Hank Blalock, Marlon Byrd, and Nelson Cruz each hit solo home runs for the Rangers. Michael Young was 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored and Elvis Andrus was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI for Texas.

Brandon McCarthy (5-2) allowed just one run on three hits for Texas, which leads the American League West.

Kurt Suzuki had the only RBI for the A's, who have lost four straight.

Losing pitcher Brett Anderson (2-5) gave up six runs on eight hits, including two homers for Oakland, which is in last place in the AL West.
