MLB: Florida 7, New York Mets 3

NEW YORK, May 30 (UPI) -- Jeremy Hermida's three-run fifth-inning homer Saturday keyed the Florida Marlins' 7-3 victory against the New York Mets.

Hermida led the Marlins with three hits and four RBI. Jorge Cantu had two hits and two RBI and Dan Uggla hit a third-inning sacrifice fly.

Hanley Ramirez, back from a three-game absence due to a groin injury, had two hits, while Emilio Bonifacio added two runs and two hits for the Marlins, who have won four of six.

Winner Josh Johnson (4-1) surrendered two earned runs and five hits in seven innings with two walks and five strikeouts. He improved to 6-0 lifetime against the Mets.

Reliever Leo Nunez recorded his first save.

Angel Pagan and Fernando Martinez led New York with two hits and one RBI apiece. Fernando Tatis added one RBI for the Mets, who had a four-game winning streak snapped.

Losing pitcher Tim Redding (0-2) allowed seven earned runs and eight hits in four innings.
