KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 30 (UPI) -- Alexei Ramirez and Josh Fields combined for six of Chicago's 17 hits Friday and the White Sox used a six-run sixth inning to overwhelm Kansas City 11-2.
Ramirez and Fields both had three hits and two RBI while Clayton Richard worked seven solid innings. The White Sox built an 11-0 lead through six innings.
Richard (2-0) gave up two runs on six hits. He struck out seven in his fourth start of the season.
Jermaine Dye hit his 13th homer of the season, a solo shot in the first, and Fields doubled home two runs in the second.
Ramirez had an RBI single in the sixth, when Chicago sent 11 men to the plate.
Brian Bannister (4-2) took the loss, giving up seven runs on nine hits in five-plus innings. Kansas City lost its second straight and has dropped seven out of nine.

Musician Brian Setzer has recovered from an illness that caused him to stop a show in Albuquerque and is set to return to the concert stage, his Web site said.
