
PHOENIX, May 30 (UPI) -- Eric Byrnes hit an 11th-inning RBI single Saturday to rally the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves.
Atlanta forged a 2-0 lead on third-inning RBI doubles by Kelly Johnson and Garret Anderson, but run-scoring hits by Ryan Roberts and Chris Young created a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh, setting the stage for the game-winner by Byrnes in the bottom of the 11th.
Byrnes and Mark Reynolds had two hits apiece for the Diamondbacks, who have split their last six games.
The winner was reliever Tony Pena (5-2).
David Ross added a run and two hits for the Braves, who have lost five of six.
The losing pitcher, the last of five used by the Braves, was Jeff Bennett (2-2).
.Anderson has hit safely in 15 of his last 16 games for Atlanta since May 10.
