ASH, England, May 29 (UPI) -- India's Jeev Milkha Singh and France's Michael Lorenzo-Vera share a one-stroke lead after 36 holes at the European Open golf tournament in Ash, England.
Both players shot 3-under-par 69 Friday and are 8-under 136 at the tournament's midway point.
"I am very excited," Lorenzo-Vera said on the tour's Web site following his second straight bogeyless round.
"I putted better than usual. My driving is good, my irons are average, and I can fix the rest around the greens."
France's Christian Cevaer (70) and England's Anthony Wall (69) share third place at 7-under 137, while first-round leader Anders Hansen (73) of Denmark shares fifth place with Jamie Donaldson (70) of Wales, Ireland's Peter Lawrie (71) and Spain's Jose Manuel Lara at 6-under 138.
Defending champion Ross Fisher of England, a wall-to-wall winner in 2008, shot his second straight 1-over 73 and, with Argentina's Angel Cabreara (146) and South Africa's Retief Goosen (146), missed the cut.
