
PHILADELPHIA, May 27 (UPI) -- Dan Uggla and Cody Ross both had a home run among their three hits Wednesday, leading Florida to a 6-2 victory over Philadelphia.
Burke Badenhop (3-2), making his first start of the season after appearing 11 times in relief, allowed a run on five hits in five innings to get the win.
Uggla produced the first run of the game with his ninth homer of the campaign in the fourth, then delivered an RBI double in the sixth. After his double, Uggla scored in front of a Ross home run, his seventh of the year.
Florida won two out of three in the series and has captured three of its last four overall.
Losing pitcher Brett Myers (4-3) tossed 5 2/3 innings before leaving the game with inflammation in his right hip. He allowed five runs on seven hits. It was his first loss in five starts.
