
PHOENIX, May 25 (UPI) -- Chase Headley hit a two-run homer in the 10th inning Monday to deliver the San Diego Padres their 10th straight win, 9-7 over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Drew Macais hit a three-run double, and Henry Blanco scored twice and drove in a run for the streaking Padres, who were behind by six runs going into the eighth inning.
Chad Gaudin started for San Diego and gave up seven runs on five hits with five walks in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out six. Edward Mujica (2-1) earned the win by pitching a scoreless ninth inning.
Gerardo Parra had two RBI and scored once, and Justin Upton drove in a run and scored for Arizona.
Doug Davis gave up four runs on five hits with four walks and six strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings. Tony Pena (4-2) suffered the loss.
