
DENVER, May 25 (UPI) -- Matt Kemp, Juan Castro and Juan Pierre drove in three runs each Monday in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 16-6 rout of the Colorado Rockies.
Russell Martin added two RBI. He, Kemp and Castro each finished with three hits for the Dodgers, who scored seven runs in the fourth inning and eight runs in the seventh.
The Dodgers had 19 hits, including Pierre's triple, and doubles by Jamie Hoffman and Casey Blake.
Dodgers starter Eric Stults gave up four runs on three hits and seven walks in 4 1/3 innings with two strikeouts. Will Ohman (1-0) earned the win by getting the final out of the sixth inning.
Rockies starter Jorge De La Rosa (0-5) took the loss after giving up seven runs in 3 1/3 innings. Jason Grilli and Alan Embree each allowed four runs in the seventh.
Brad Hawpe two doubles and two RBI for the Rockies.
